MJP:rjs TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE COMMITTEE REPORT August 6, 1990 PROPERTY ACQUISITION BY WSDOT (Referred 6/11/90) The Transportation Committee recommends approval of the State's offer of $16,600 for two parcels of property needed for the I-405 S-Curves project. The first parcel is located on the west side of I-405 near the intersection of South 3rd Street and Mill Avenue South. The second parcel is located on the east side of I-405 between the two wells in Cedar River Park. Both parcels are administered by the Parks Department, but have marginal use for recreation. The S-Curves realignment will not affect usable park property or the wells in the park. Park officials have worked with WSDOT to minimize the areas needed, and they support the acquisition. These parcels were discussed at length in the S-Curves EIS. A third parcel of 6(f) park property under the proposed Cedar River bridge is to be traded for a WSDOT parcel on Maple Valley Highway near the Cedar River. Negotiations between WSDOT and Parks are continuing on this parcel. The Committee recommends that the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to execute the quit claim deeds. 5-71-1691 Richard Stredicke, Chair Toni Nelson, Vice-Chair Bob Edwards, Member AppRovED Copies: Mel Wilson David Martin CURVE DATA 7 P.I.STATION DEL TA RADIUS TANGENT LENGTH II w FOR R/W AND L/A NORTH SEE SR 405, REDID - ST•TE FEDERAL AID PROJECT Ru. .
