ORDINANCE NO . 3186
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE CITY' S COMPREHENSIVE tAIMINVEX PLAN
AND MAPS AND DATA IN CONJUNCTION THEREWITH
RELATING TO CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE GENERAL
VICINITY OF RENTON HILL, RENTON, WASHINGTON
WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Renton
and the City Councilhave heretofore adopted and filed a "Comprehensive
.. hex Plan" as evidenced by Resolution No. 1240 , and Ordinance No .
04 2142 , and as same have been implemented and amended from time to time,
together with the adoption of various codes , reports and records , and
WHEREAS since said adoption the Planning Commission has
heretofore duly recommended to the City Council , from time to time ,
certain amendments to said City' s "Comprehensive fiIx=kx Plan" ; and
WHEREAS the Planning Commission held a public hearing on
or about September. 14, 1977 , and said hearing having been continued to
October 12 , 1977 , and
WHEREAS the Planning Commission has made certain findings
and recommendations to the City Council of the City of Renton, and
WHEREAS the City Council held a public hearing on this
matter on November 21, 1977 and all parties appearing in favor of
or in opposition to said amendment to the City' s Comprehensive )TA
Plan having been duly heard at such public hearing , and
WHEREAS the City Council has duly determined, after due
consideration of the testimony and evidence before it that it is
advisable and appropriate to amend and modify the City ' s 'Comprehensive
2mmtxXJJK Plan" and likewise modify and amend the recommendations of the
Planning Commission, and such amendment and modification being in the
best interest and for the public benefit; NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :

SECTION I : The aforestated findings and recitals are
hereby found to be true and correct in all respects , and the City
Council hereby modifies and amends the recommendations and findings of
the Planning Commission as hereinbelow set forth.
SECTION II : The City of Renton' s "Comprehensive Kazmix t g
Plan" and maps , data and reports in conjunction therewith are hereby
CSI modified and amended , pursuant to the public hearings held in connection
therewith as hereinabove specified , which amendments and modifications

relate to the following described properties , to-wit:
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof as if fully set forth herein.
and said properties described in said Exhibit are hereby designated
as "Single Family Residential" , "Multiple Family Residential" , r'Greenbelt"
and "Recreation" as specified on said Exhibit on said "Comprehensive Uaind
Ug Plan" and any and all other plans and records pertaining thereto.
Additionally, the proposed streets of Mill Avenue South extension and
Grant Avenue South are found to be impractical and inappropriate and
are haleby deleted from the "Comprehensive ixapiaxtxxoK Plan" .
SECTION III : The Planning Director is hereby authorized
and directed to make the necessary changes on said City' s "Comprehensive
EXA x1344 Plan" and the maps in conjunction therewith to evidence the
aforedescribed amendment.
SECTION IV: The City Clerk is further authorized and
directed to file this Ordinance as provided by law, and a complete copy
of said document likewise being on file with the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Renton.
SECTION V : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage ,
approval and five days after its publication.
