Dear Hearing Examiner:
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the Energize Eastside permit proposal. I understand that
you will be holding a hearing on Energize Eastside on Wednesday,January 81h,2020,from 5—10 p.m. at
Renton City Hall.
I will not be attending the hearing; however, on behalf of the City of Kenmore,please include this letter
of support in your official record for the Energize Eastside permit proposal.
The City of Kenmore continues to support Energize Eastside,and we urge you to approve the permit.
Our support for Energize Eastside is based on the damaging consequences to Kenmore and the rest of the
eastside that will follow from the delay/no action alternative and the resulting blackouts. These
consequences are unacceptable to Kenmore and will negatively impact public safety and our local
economy.
It is very clear that the delay/no action alternative is a very poor choice and will harm our communities.
We encourage you to approve the Energize Eastside permit proposal as soon as possible.
