RE: Bothell Kenmore Chamber of Commerce Comments on Energize Eastside Permit
Dear Hearing Examiner:
On behalf of the Bothell Kenmore Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, I am writing in
support of Puget Sound Energy’s Energize Eastside project. We have been following the project
over the last several years and are grateful for the opportunity to provide comments for the
record.
We support Energize Eastside because the Bothell/Kenmore business community needs reliable
power. We need to build the infrastructure necessary to accommodate the growth we have seen
and the growth we all know is coming, and we need to build it in a timely manner. The
significance of Energize Eastside to the health of our economy cannot be understated. It is vital
that this additional infrastructure be built without delay. Alternatives that may lead to blackouts
or create uncertainty are not acceptable.
We urge you to recommend approval of the permit for Energize Eastside.
