Attending: Laura Clawson, Jessica Kelly, Lynne King, Elizabeth P. Stewart, and Colleen
Lenahan.
Absent: Doug Brownlow, Rhea Kimble, Mike Lennox, and Betsy Prather.
Call to Order, Intro, Guest Speaker
President Colleen Lenahan called the meeting to order at 6:25 PM. The meeting was hosted at the
home of Laura and Dan Clawson.
News, Updates, and Public Comments Information
(1) General updates:
Jessica Kelly contacted the Thunderdome Car Museum about the Model A Ford
we are considering for deaccession. They have an online form for consideration
of an object for donation or loan; Liz Stewart will follow up with Curator Sarah
Samson.
She also contacted City U’s Angela Beard as a possible facilitator for the retreat.
No word yet.
Jessica also followed up on the Renton Community Center Banquet Room for our
October 2020 fundraiser. The banquet room holds 230 people and we can have
it for free on a date of our choice. Board members agreed that Thurs., Oct. 8 is
the date we should ask for, and Liz will follow through with Donna Eken at the
City, who is covering for Shirley Anderson until February. Jessica will follow up
with Rain City Catering; Laura Clawson asked that they serve roasted potatoes
instead of mashed potatoes.
Colleen Lenahan asked for an update on the #GivingTuesday Facebook
Fundraiser. Liz reported that to date we had received $290 in donations out of a
$2500 target. Tom Monahan also created a birthday fundraiser to benefit the
Museum and he had raised $80 of his $200 goal.
Review and Approval of Minutes Action Item
Approval of the November minutes was tabled for the January meeting.
Work session Action Item
(1) 2020 Budget: Liz Stewart had circulated an updated budget before the meeting that
included firm salary numbers from the bookkeeper for a 2% pay increase for the Curator
and the Public Engagement Coordinator. Board members had no questions.

MOTION: Lynne King moved to approve the 2% pay increase for the two employees;
Jessica Kelly and Laura Clawson seconded. The motion passed, none opposed, none
abstaining. Doug Brownlow, Rhea Kimble, and Mike Lennox voted yes by proxy.
MOTION: Jessica Kelly moved to approved the 2020 Budget as submitted; Lynne King
seconded. Motion passed, none opposed, none abstaining. Doug Brownlow, Rhea
Kimble, and Mike Lennox voted yes by proxy.

Colleen Lenahan moved to adjourn the meeting, Lynne King seconded the motion. Meeting
adjourned at 6:45 pm.
