AMENDMENT NO. _2_ TO AGREEMENT FOR DESIGN AND
CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT SERVICES FOR
SUNSET NEIGHBORHOOD PARK, PHASE 2
THIS AMENDMENT, dated ______________, 2020, is by and between the City of Renton (the
“City”), a Washington municipal corporation, and HBB Landscape Architecture, Inc.
(“Consultant”), a Washington corporation. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively
in this Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is
effective as of the last date signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG‐18‐063, dated
April 10, 2018, to provide necessary services for the professional design and construction
administration support services for Sunset Neighborhood Park, Phase 2 (referred to herein as
the “Agreement”);
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work and change the
compensation in order to modify the existing light pole foundations.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG‐18‐063 is amended as follows:
1. Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit
A, which is attached and incorporated herein.
2. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $_2,376.78___ from
$__493,354.50__ to $__495,731.28_, plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The
additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actually performed according to
the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit A , which is attached and incorporated herein.
3. All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Amendment as of the date
last signed by the Parties below.

Description of Amendment
The original scope and budget for RFI support during construction did not anticipate a redesign of some of the parks’
existing electrical pole foundations as a result of RFI 005. During the course of construction, it was observed that the soils
and rain garden slopes make retaining the existing foundations but with extensions to raise them up would provide a more
stable foundation in the long run. This work would affect poles #76, 77, 78, 80, and 81 and require additional 2 to 3
structural details be developed for the project.
This amendment is for the additional time to develop the structural details, provide internal review and coordination, and
potential revisions after city engineer review.
Schedule:
There is no impact to the schedule given this additional work.
Addendum Fee
The additional fee for the level-of-effort is $10,045.14.
Fee breakdown is attached to this Contract Amendment as follows:

SCOPE AND FEE PROPOSAL
SUNSET NEIGHBORHOOD PARK – PHASE 2
ENGINEERING AND DESIGN SERVICES
March 16, 2020
1. SCOPE OF WORK
This scope of work and fee proposal (SOW), submitted to HBB, Landscape Architects on behalf of the
City of Renton (COR), describes the additional engineering, services to modify the project design details
to generally incorporate the following:
Develop additional structural details for construction to modify existing luminaire pole bases
#76, 77, 78, 80 and 81 as noted in RFI 05.
Provide drawings for city engineer review. Incorporate city engineer review comments.
Revise and re-submit an amended response to RFI 05
2.. ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Task 06 – Construction Administration Assistance
PND proposes adding the additional services outlined in section 1 and the attached Fee Schedule to
the existing contract subtask 06 Construction Administration Assistance.

6. FEES
PND will provide these services on a time and materials basis not to exceed $1,640.00 without prior
written authorization from COR. Please reference the attached cost proposal for a detailed break-
down of allocated time. Time for PND staff will be billed per the base contract.
