Human Services Advisory Committee Meeting
March 31, 2020 - 3:00 p.m.
Virtual Working Meeting via Zoom
Attendance: Teresa Kenney (Chair), Leslie Anderson, Krista Townsend, Joe Scovel, Joanie Howe, Staci
VanderPol, Adair Hasty, Julie Dubravetz, Jeannie Anderson
Excused: Amy Koehl, Catherine Dang
Staff: Human Services Manager Guy Williams, Human Services Coordinator Dianne Utecht, Administrative
Secretary Jennifer Ayres
1.Call to Order at 3:11 p.m. by Teresa Kenney.
2.Approval of Agenda – Leslie Anderson moved to approve the March 31, 2020 agenda. The motion was
seconded by Krista Townsend. All were in favor; motion carried.
3.Approval of Minutes – Joe Scovel motioned to approve the February 18, 2020 minutes. Motion was
seconded by Staci Vanderpol. All were in favor; motion carried.
4.Funding Cycle: Determine Committee Review Dates – Committee members discussed tentative dates
for groups to review applications for grant funding and determined selections for May, June, and July
of 2020.
5.Funding Cycle: Financial Review Dianne Utecht, Human Services Coordinator
a. Reviewed financial requirements for 2021-22 grant funding applications.
6.Funding Cycle: Rating Tool Dianne Utecht, Human Services Coordinator
a. Reviewed City of Renton’s supplemental questions for 2021-22 grant funding.
b. Discussed rating tool for evaluating agency applications.
b.Examined rating categories and criteria and then finalized distribution of points.

a.Renton Village of Hope Homeless Community Resource Event cancelled due to pandemic for
April 15, 2020.
9.Adjournment Krista Townsend motioned to adjourn. Motion was seconded by Jeanne Anderson. All
were in favor; motion carried. Adjourned at 4:22pm.
