AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO HUMAN SERVICES AGREEMENT CAG-
19-117
THIS AMENDMENT, dated ______________________, 2020, is by and between the City of
Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, Nexus Youth and Families (“Nexus”), a
Washington nonprofit corporation, and The Young Men’s Christian Association of Greater Seattle
(the “YMCA”), a Washington nonprofit corporation. The City, Nexus, and the YMCA are referred
to collectively in this Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this
Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by all parties.
Whereas, the City entered into a human services agreement with Nexus under Agreement CAG-
19-117, dated April 17, 2019, to provide services benefiting the Renton community as specified
in that agreement (referred to herein as the “Agreement”);
Whereas, subsequent to the execution of the Agreement, Nexus and the YMCA entered into an
affiliation arrangement under which Nexus and the YMCA mutually desire to assign the
Agreement from Nexus to the YMCA, and the City does not object to such assignment;
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to formalize the assignment of the
Agreement from Nexus to the YMCA
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-19-117 is amended as follows:
1. Assignment of Agreement: Nexus hereby assigns all of its rights and obligations under
the Agreement to the YMCA, and the YMCA hereby accepts such assignment. Upon the
assignment, the Agreement’s use of the term “Agency” shall refer to the YMCA. Pursuant
to Section 15 of the Agreement (“Successors and Assigns”), the City co nsents to the
assignment from Nexus to YMCA.
2. Notices: Section 16 of the Agreement (“Notices”) is hereby amended to provide for
notice to the YMCA as follows:

3. All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Amendment as of the date
last signed by the Parties below.
