Responsible for the development of Beta-C Titanium as a Spring Material alongside Boeing & McDonald Douglas Moved to 50k sq/ft facility in 1999 to accommodate growth – Plans to add another building by 2017. In the early 2000’s, they expanded their breadth of knowledge and experience to the performance market to provide cutting edge applications for racing enthusiasts and all types of motorsports. RCS is the worlds largest titanium spring manufacturer. Purchasing and Processing over 25 tons of titanium annually. Currently – RCS has 70 Employees Give you an idea of company turnover, RCS is able to retain a lot of its expertise as over 52% percent of employees have been at RCS for over 7 years, 35% has been with RCS for over 10 years and a remarkable 14% of RCS staff has passed the 20 year mark. Certifications include – ISO 9001, AS 9100, NADCAP Accredited, ITAR Registered RCS has just finished our best year yet – looking to close 18.2 in 2015 Our sales are broken down to 75% Aerospace & Commercial, 20% Motorsports & Performance and 5% other applications. 70% Domestic, 30% International – with distribution to over 20 countries. Extension Springs generate a load or force as the spring is extended.  We are able to design and build extension springs from 0.015” to 0.630” diameter wire. Ability to manufacture Infinite hook variations as well as extension assemblies with coned or threaded terminals. common type of spring generates a load or force as the spring is compressed. We design and manufacture compression springs from 0.008” to 1.300” diameter wire and bar stock.  Round, square and rectangular cross sections are available for compression springs. The outside diameter of the springs can range from as small as 0.065" to as large as 24.000“ We also manufacture tapered or multiple diameter compression springs. Torsion Springs exert a moment or torque as the spring arm is deflected. The springs with connected coil sections are known as double torsion springs.   We are capable of designing and producing torsion springs from 0.015” to 0.625” diameter wire and bar stock.  Round, square, and rectangular cross sections are available as well as tapered or multiple diameter springs. Wire Forms are closely related to springs, and usually perform a spring-like or retaining function. EXAMPLES OF WIRE FORMS: We can create wire forms from 0.025” to 0.250” diameter wire and bar stock.   Also we design, manufacture, and assemble components into assemblies or sub-assemblies such as spring loaded canisters, reels and other devices. Like torsion springs, clock springs exert a moment or torque.  < These springs are also known as spiral torsion or hair springs. Typically clock springs provide much greater rotational deflection than standard torsion springs. We design and manufacture clock springs from 0.005" to 0.200" thick materials.  Flat parts are made from flat strip or sheet material which is then sheared or stamped to a predefined flat <pattern We then punch, or form these parts to shape.  Some are then spot welded, riveted, or assembled together.  Our progressive tooling designs allow us to produce complex, close tolerance flat parts in an economical and timely manner.  Our in-house stamping capacity is 50 tons.  We design and manufacture close tolerance flat springs from 0.003” to 0.125” thick, and anywhere from 0.050” to several inches wide. Material Although RCS specializes in titanium, they can also manufacture springs from a large number of standard ferrous and non-ferrous materials..  Renton Coil Spring Co. has the capability to coil springs from round, square or rectangular cross section wire and bar.  The stamping and forming department has the ability to work with flat, sheet, and strip material.  Engineering Renton Coil Spring has in-depth design capabilities and is one of the few spring companies registered to ISO 9001 - certifying the ability to create drawings reflecting specific design requirements. Spring design and computer modeling in Solid Works and CATIA Solve Design Problems  Engineers that work with RCS regularly value the ability to submit drawings for pre-approval so that problems can be caught and corrected before the additional costs of releasing incorrect designs have been incurred.
