Thank you for demanding that the city and its residents have the final say in where homeless shelters, etc, can be
placed.
I am a longtime resident of Renton. I spend a lot of time in downtown Renton with my family. I have seen first hand the
changes that have happened since that shelter arrived. There is more drug use, more mentally unstable people
wandering around, more theft, and is seems to be getting worse.
I understand the need for housing and care for people in need. I know that we may need to make sacrifices to make
this happen. I am not okay with the city the shelter is placed in having no say a nd no real oversight or ability to set rules
that govern said facility. Please do not let the loud minority sway your thoughts or actions. Thank you!
