Gorton, Jessica Kelly, Lynne King, Mike Lennox, Elizabeth Stewart, and Staci VanderPol. Guest: Stephanie Snyder Call to Order, Intro, Guest Speaker President Colleen Lenahansen called the meeting to order at 5:32 PM. The meeting was held remotely due to the Coronavirus pandemic. An abbreviated meeting was planned. News, Updates, and Public Comments Information (1) Operations update: The Museum remains closed under the Governor’s orders until January 4 at the earliest, although Museum Director Liz Stewart thinks it’s likely we’ll remain closed through the end of January. She reported that 4Culture awarded the Museum an increased amount of Heritage Sustained Support grant funding: $15,709 in 2021 and 2022. A potential trustee will be joining the January meeting to see what the Board does. The City of Renton is rolling out a new policy and app for employees working inside City buildings during COVID-19. Laura Clawson asked whether Liz had heard anything from City of Renton about vaccine availability; Liz had not heard anything, and thought we’d be more likely to hear from King County Public Health. From the Governor’s press conferences, she had heard that the general public would be able to access vaccines in later spring or early summer. Review and Approval of Minutes Action Item Approval of the November minutes was deferred until the January 2021 meeting. Work session Action Item (1) Paycheck Protection Program: Jessica Kelly reported that she submitted the PPP forgiveness paperwork on December 10. The Renton Historical Society received $12,285 from PPP and $2000 from the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Program. If Jessica’s business experience holds for nonprofits, we could have to repay the EIDL. She will keep the Board updated. (2) Budget 2021: Colleen opened discussion of the draft operating budget for 2021, which had been introduced at the November meeting and distributed before the November and December meetings. There were no questions and no discussion. Liz reminded trustees that this budget will probably need to be amended in mid-2021, when we see what income looks like. • MOTION: Laura Clawson moved that the Board approve the budget as submitted; Lynne King seconded. Motion passed unanimously; no abstentions. Colleen quickly did the math and we’ve gotten about $2500 in donations so far. The end-of-year appeal letter created by Stephen and Theresa Clymer had just gone out. Liz will keep track of what comes in because of that letter. The Clymers are making a donation and reimbursing the Museum for the postage for the letter. Mission Moment Information Postponed until January 2021. Wrap-up and Adjournment _____ Laura Clawson moved to adjourn the meeting, Liz Stewart seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at 5:50 pm.
