4-5-060 CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATIVE CODE
101.2 Scope. The provisions of this Construction Administrative Code shall apply to building, plumbing, and mechanical
permits and the following “Construction Codes”:
a. 2021 International Building Code – WAC 51-50;
b. 2021 International Residential Code – WAC 51-51;
c. 2021 International Mechanical Code – WAC 51-52;
d. 2021 National Fuel Gas Code (ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54) – WAC 51-52;
e. 2021 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code (NFPA 58) – WAC 51-52;
f. 2021Uniform Plumbing Code – WAC 51-56 and 51-57;
g. 2021 National Electrical Code (NFPA 70);
h. 2021 International Property Maintenance Code;
i. 2021 International Existing Building Code – WAC 51-50-48000; and
j. 2021 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code – WAC 51-50-3109 and WAC 51-51-0329. (Ord. 5749, 1-12-2015;

101.5.9 Energy Code – Scope. The provisions of the Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) shall apply to all matters
governing the design and construction of buildings for energy efficiency. WAC 51-11R applies to residential buildings,
building sites, associated systems and equipment, and WAC 51-11C applies to commercial buildings, building sites,
