CITY OF RENTON Ι PERMIT CENTER
SCHEDULE INSPECTION ONLINE
City of Renton will be utilizing permitting.rentonwa.gov for scheduling inspections. You must be logged in to request an
inspection, which may require registration on the site if not already registered.
FROM THE HOME SCREEN AFTER LOGGING IN:
Select Search on the top Menu bar.
STEP 1:
On the Search drop-down, select Permit
STEP 2:
Enter the permit number in the Permit Number field and click the Search button.
STEP 3:
Your permit results will appear below the search criteria. Select
the permit number link to open the permit details page.
STEP 4:
On the permit details page under Available Actions select the Request
button next to the inspection you wish to schedule. May have to use
the scroll bar to find the inspection you need.

STEP 5:
Enter all required fields, Contact Name and Contact Phone (all fields with a red asterisk (*) are required). Select the
*Requested Date (required), if applicable enter any comments you wish to relay to the inspector (Comments/Gate
Code) and click the Submit button. See Day of Inspection section below for how to contact your assigned inspector on
the scheduled inspection day.
CONGRATULATIONS YOUR INSPECTION HAS BEEN SCHEDULED!
The inspection will change color and a green checkmark will indicate that the inspection has been scheduled
successfully. If you return to the permit details page the inspection should be Scheduled under Workflow (blue).
DAY OF INSPECTION
If you would like to speak with the assigned inspector that will perform your inspection to coordinate a window of
availability, you may find your inspector and contact information by clicking on Today’s Inspections where you will see
a list of the scheduled inspections, the assigned Inspector and their phone number.
