ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT (TOD) SUBAREA PLAN
THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes only as November 20, 2020, is by and between
the City of Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, and Makers Architecture
and Urban Design, LLP (“Consultant”), a Washington limited liability partnership. The City and the
Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed
by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-19-287, dated
August 28, 2019, to provide necessary services for the Renton Transit Oriented Development
(TOD) Subarea Plan (referred to herein as the “Agreement”);
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work and
compensation in order to facilitate two additional Developer’s Forum events.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-19-287 is amended as follows:
1.Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit
A-1, which is attached and incorporated herein.
2.Time of Performance: Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended and all Work shall be
performed by no later than June 30, 2021.
3.Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $2,080 from $148,387 to $150,467,
plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid
based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in
Exhibit A-1 which is attached and incorporated herein.
4.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Amendment as of the date

Re: Budget Amendment for Developer’s Forum Facilitation
Dear Katie:
This is a letter of proposal to amend MAKERS architecture and urban design’s
existing contract with the City of Renton for the Rainier/ Grady Junction Subarea
Plan. The scope of this amendment is to provide the following:
Facilitation of two (2) additional Developer’s Forum events
Our proposed work assumes the following:
Hours provided are for facilitation of two (2) additional developer’s
forum meetings and the documentation of results.
Developer’s forum meetings will be 2 hours max.
Meeting format and presentation materials prepared in advance will be
the same as the developer’s forum planned in the original contract. The
addition of these two (2) meetings will not require additional
preparation time.
City staff will schedule meetings and send out invitations.
If the addition of these two (2) meetings results in additional analysis
that falls outside of the scope of the original contract (such as work
pertaining to the concurrent Housing Action Plan) staff will take on that
work.
Our proposed budget is attached.
