HomeMy WebLinkAboutPH Notice - Adopt Interim Zoning Controls Economic Signs 06072021CITY OF RENTON RENTON CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that per the Governor’s Emergency Proclamation s, the City of Renton is prohibited from holding in-person meetings at this time. Therefore, a virtual/telephonic Public Hearing will be held by the Renton City Council on June 7, 2021 at 7 p.m. by means of a Zoom video-conference web application. For those wishing to attend by Zoom, please (1) click this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84938072917?pwd=TUNCcnppbjNjbjNRMWpZaXk2bjJnZz09 (or copy the URL and paste into a web browser); or (2) call-in to the Zoom meeting by dialing 253-215-8782 and entering 849 3807 2917, Passcode 156708; or (3) call 425-430-6501 by 10 a.m. on the day of the meeting to request an invite with a link to the meeting. The meeting can also be viewed on Renton’s Channel 21, or streaming live at rentonwa.gov/streaming. The Renton City Council will consider the following: An Ordinance of the City of Renton, Washington, extending the Interim Zoning Control established by Ordinance No. 5974, and extended and amended by Ordinance 5997, in response to the operational limits on businesses during the COVID-19 declared public health emergency by (1) Extending the temporary “Economic Recovery Revocable Right-of-Way Permit” for businesses; (2) Extending the temporary “Economic Recovery Signs” for businesses; and (3) Extending the Interim Zoning Control to waive the requirement to obtain a temporary use permit for the temporary expansion of a business into an adjacent vacant space in a multi-tenant building; Extending authorization for the temporary designation of a limited number of existing public parking stalls within the Center Downtown Zoning District to support parking for short-term curbside pick-up or to go orders from businesses; extending the temporarily waiver of parking fees for parking periods of up to 10 hours within the City’s City Center Parking Garage located at 655 South 2nd Street; providing for severability; decla ring an emergency; and establishing an effective date.
