_ Plaques for Public Art—Benson Shaw, "Going Global"Artist has examples of plaques that confirm to
;V1/ashington State Standards. He will forward them to us so we can choose one appropriafe for the new
installation :We need to make sure that the approximate:$150 cost for processing and installation.of -.

2014 Grants Application Process-Both the Applications are orrthe RMAC website: .
•, Small Grant.(up to$500)—No due date. Can apply any time during the year.
• Large Grant($500=$6000)=Due date is May 15,_2015 by S:OOpm. Due date extended fo May 23,2014
Grant application reViewerS will be assigned at the IVlay meeting. Recommendations by 7une 3, 2014 and
notifications are to be senf by June 16,2014.
,4 suggestion was made by IVlichele that each RIVIAC member could nominate three groups,or an individual
artist,for a Small Grant Award. The recipient would be given the award at a RMAC meeting. It would be a good
way to recognize the art efforts already in work aswel.l as benefit tfie outreach targets in our Master Plan.. Flus
' the award activity would provide opportunities for photos and videos for our website.
RIVIAC Website-Peter:met with Lynda Maybury,Web designer and Social Media Consultant,to get her thoughts
as to what needed to:be tlone to redesign the RMAC website so that it is more user.friendly; builds connections
with other social media (Facebook and Twitter); brings input from other organizations and artists as well as
show events. . It was suggested that Lynda.develop a power point outline.with the num.ber of hours and cost:
Elizabeth will check Renton's requirements for consultants and contract details.
Also,Judith Subia, in:the Department of Community and Economic Deuelopment has been asked to add the
profiles of all Renton Arf Commissioners. Each RMAC.is fo provide informafio:n to her. It was suggested that _
we check the Planning Commission page on the City website for the specific information and style that is

The Film Frenzv Committee-Will meet on April 2,2014, 6pm at Luther's Table. Ben and Mitch plan to attend:
Emer�in�Update—.The contract to repair the damage after the sculpture was removed from:its Carco site was
awarded to ArtTech.
Goin�Global Update—The Mayor is okay with an informal ceremony to celebrate the installation. Elizabeth will
coordinate a date.and time to fit the Mayor's and Benson Shaw's schedules. Also, Elizabeth will check if parking
can be done on the old Sound Ford property during the event.
Four Cows Proiect Update—The meeting with the South Renton Neighborhood Connection to discuss design
require.ments is scheduled for April 14, 2014 7pm, at Chamber of Commerce office; Peter; Evelyn, and Elizabeth
plan to attend
