APRROVAL OF AGENDA: As stands. APPRQVA!OE AGENDA�MlNUTE5— Minutes af the previous meeting were read, corrections were nated and a rnotian was made and seconded and the rninutes were approued. � `- . � PRESIDENTS, REMARKS: President Pat Baylot requested Charles Robinson senre as chairperson on the nominating committee with Shirley Haddock and Ruby Griffi� serving with him. Shawn Daiy will set a time to meet witi� this committee. TREASURER REP(JRT:Sandra Pailey Bank batance as of 11j03J15 $19,318.44 RECREATION SUPERVISOR: Shawn Daly Shawn informed the cammittee that there are no mare tickets avaifable for the Thanksgiving Day Dinner at the Senior Center. Shawn stated that last year he requested$400.Q0 to be used for gifts and raffles and this year he is making a request for $60UA0. Unio� 2170 will reinnburse the Advisory Committee $zaa.00 so the cost uvi!{ be $400.OU to the Advisory Cornmittee. Milt Tiede macle a motion and Nlarge Reep seconded that#his�acpense be appraved. The old tree has seen better days. Mary L. Gustine Nelsan had advertised a 7�foot tree with 6UQ ciear lights for$329.00. Milt Tede made a motion a�d Marge Reep seconded that we purchase this tree. The members uated a�d the rnotion was approved, The Renton Comrrzunity Services conducted a Senior Activity Center Customer Satisfaction Survey. The overali ratings w�re very favorable regarding services and activities at the Senior Activity Center. Shavvunn was app�aached by a lady who participates with athers daing water cotor painting. She asked if#heir art wark coutd be dispiayed in the craft room. Shawn informed the cammittee members that the Ci�/of Renton has an Arts Connmission that approve ail art dispiayed at the Rentan Senior Center. Board members had many suggestions but 5hatnrn concluded there were realiy anly two opfiions,l�option,use the existing display case,2"d optian display in the craft room. Having a laoping system at the Rentor� Senior Activity Center has been discussed before and Shawn said`he, Debbie and Kris are stiil invalved in that � process, The large meeting room is being considered for the inskallation of the � system. Valley Medical Center would like ta partner with the Rentort Senio�Activity Center getting doctors and hospital staff out info�rming senior citizens af urhat is avaitable for them. �ecember 10t" at 7 P.M. His name is Charies Turner anci Shawn has heard some reai positive comrnents from peapie regarding Chartes. it was suggested that Mr.Turner be invited to a board meeting so we couid welcame him on board. Ruby Griffin asked Shawn if we will lae daing the Merrill Gardens Christrnas (uncheon this year. Shawn suggested that this year we have our luncheon on December 7�''in the cafeteria fallov�ring our board meeting. Due to several reti�ements there wiit be a number af new placements. WRITTEN and/or ORAL.CGMMUNICATION— Vicki Richards had mare information regarding the Rentan Senior Activity Center advertisin,g in the Kennydale News. The paper has 4 quarterly }aublications. The City of Renton gave the Kennydale community a grant which pays for 2/3 of the cost of publishing the paper.
