APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Pat asked if there were any amendments to the agenda and there were none. APPROVAL OF AGEIV➢A/MIl�UTES: The agenda to be used as printed. The minutes of Ju1y 7�'were read, corrections were noted and minutes were approved. . PRESIDEI�ITS REMARKS -A very busy week coming up this week. After the board meeting this A.M. Bill, Kay and I will be meeting with Shawn to review questions for the � interviews with perspective board candidates. You will be given a report once the selection is made: � The Senior Picnic is this coming Thursday. Make sure Shawn has your name if you are volunteering to help. Wednesday July 23rd volunteers will be meeting at 10:00 A.M. to go over final detail regarding the float and parade. T'REASU12E1�REPORT: Sandra Polley ` - . Bank Balance as of July 21, 2014 $21,961.62 � Parade/float expenditure to date $1,102.37 � �tEC1tEATION SUPER�ISOR: �Shawn Daly Shawn had a receipt from Safeway for$450.00 for the purchase of gift cards for Bingo. A special thank you to volunteers who will be helping with the Senior Day Picnic,the , . picnic is a lot of fun but also a lot of work. Five hundred people partake of this picnic so it requires that we be very organized. A]1 of the food was delivered today so we are in good shape. . Shawn had a receipt for $10.00 for the renewing of our non profit sta.tus. Tuesday July 22nd we will be interviewing the four prospective candidates for new board � members . As the minutes indicated there was a suggestion that we have another Fraud Seminar. We have scheduled the seminar and it will be held October 17�'from 1:00 P.M.—2:00 P.M: There was really gre�.t response to the prev�ous seminar. � � J ~-V1 - � 1 Page 2 cont. � Saturday October 11�'we are having a Transportation Fair sponsored by the Renton Housing Authority and Shag. . As you enter the center please take a deep breath and inhale the new fresh fragrance. Shawn met with our faciliiy people and they installed a dispenser in the lobby area and one each in the restrooms. I tliink all of us will welcome a fresher aroma in the facility. � Shawn would like to thank the committee for the fabulous job that is being done and the time that is being put in on the float. Debbie and Pat will be working together the day of the parade with Debbie driving the van. Members of the aommittee can get on the van and Debbie will drop you off at the _ float site and at the conclusion of the parade Debbie will pick you up at Liberty Park. Just a reminder Saturday morning of the parade the Lions Club will be serving breal�ast at the center starting at 7:30 A.M. uiitil 11:00 A.M. � RECRIEATION COORDINATOR—Debbie Little The Senior Picnic is this Thursday July 24�'and we still have 15 tickets left. Last week was our trip to the Fire Training Academy and it was a really great trip. VJe plan to schedule another trip to the academy sometime in the future. Debbie is still putting together classes for the Wednesday night classes. When completed these will be in the October,November, December Golden Opportunities Brochure. ' DIRECTOR/ADNIIlVISTRATOR REPORT—Kris Stimpson � The parking lot lighting project that we were planrung to do during the September closure has had to be delayed to a later date. The bid came in over budget and has to be resubmitted. I stated last meeting that the center video was completed and I had planned to show it at this meeting. However it will have to been shown at our next meeting. After Renton River Days we will bring back the projected goals for fiu-ther discussion. � ,, -_. �� � � � �' � . Page 3 eont. A form will be submitted stating a project iS being done and then a tracking form will follow that project through completion. Sandy Polley has volunteered to maintai.n a book with these forms. COA�IlYIIT'�EE NIEEllZBER REPORTS � - Mij Charbonneau and Pat Baylor representing Mij Charbonneau's committee did a tour of the senior facility making a list of projects that need to be done. That list has been given to Shawn Daly. . . Bill Clapp reported the trailer is here and parked over at the Mai.ntenance Shop. Ruby Crrif6n will give a report ne�meeting on total of new visitors to the center.
