Kay made a motion the agenda be approved, Marge seconded the motion and the members approved. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Minutes of the April 7, 2014 meeting were read, corrections were - � .noted and Pat made a motion the minutes be approved, Peggy seconded the motion and _ � members approved: _ , TREASURER REPORT:Sandra Polley Bank balance as of 04/21/14 $18,143.48 � RECREATION SUPERVISOR: Shawn Daly � � � Shawn reported thaf the AARP tax service at the center has�concluded and this year they did 315 � returns: Every year this is a very successful service offered by the Renton Senior Center. May 12�'there will be a Focus Group at the Senior Center. There will be two time slots, 1:00 P.M. and also 7:00 P.M. We hope to.encourage attendance therefore the 7 P.M.time will allow people who work during the day the opportunity to aftend. Flyers will be put up around the center and . � also it will be advertised in the Renton Reporter. Shawn received an e-mail frorrm Lynne Boehart who is in charge of the Renton Community Fund � Holder Foundation. She would like to attend a-Board meeting and�explain to us what her Position involves. Shawn will_confirm with President Pat Baylor as to an available date. ', � ' S#�awn had a form from the Infernal Revenue Service that he gave to Treasurer Sandy Polley. The form is 9090EZ which is a non-profit form. We had not filed a current non-profit form. The form , ' needs to be filled out and returned to the IRS by late May. � - � We are currently giving out applications for the Farmers Market. There are. 100 applications available and are restricted to one per household. There is a drawing to qualify applicants and not everyone who submits an application is chosen. � � , � Dennis Conte the Maintenance Supervisor is in the process oftesting our fire alarm system. The tests will determine if our levels meet the sound level the fire department stipulated we need. . , , �.. - . � � �� � . OLD BUSINES, '+ � � � Shawn confirmed the volunteers for Friday and�Saturday performances of the Senior Revue. Volunteer's for the Thursday afternoon performance are, Dorothy Cook, Kay Stone;Sandy Polley, � Ruby Griffin, Peggy Budziu, Mij Charbonneau, and Shirley Haddock. �y night volunteers are, Pat Baylor, Bill Clapp, Kay Stone, Marge Reep,Sandy Polley and grand�gh�ter, Eric Eastburg and Milt Tiede. Thursday meet at 12 noon for the 1:00 P.M. performance and for the night . performance meet at 6:00 P.M.for the 7:00 P.M. perFormance. �-��; President Pat Baylor made copies of the Sub-committee assignments and distributed those. Marge Reep invited interested people to a softball practice game Thursday April 24th at 10:30. �� Bill Clapp made a motion that a.new tab be made for our book to include goals and objectives.
