A welcome was extended to Mayor Law. He will be installing'Advisory Board new officers and board members. , Pat made an announcement that there will be no January 20,2014 meeting. The center � will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Next meeting will be February 3, 2014. , TREASURER REPORT-Sandy Polley � � Bank balance as of 12/16/13 $18,486.01 � � This total is not complete until December interest is added. Fuia12013 report will be submitted at our Feb. 3`a meeting. -- ---- - - - - ---- -- T _. - -- - ------- --- RECREATION SIJPERVISOR—Shawn Daly - The agenda for this meeting is for Mayor Law to install new officers and board members so Shawn deferred his usual agenda. Shawn had checks to give.to Treasurer Sandy Polley. A check in the amount.of$20.00 from Nicole Toyama in memory of Pat , Dickinson, $80.00 from Pauline Kirkman i.n memory of Pat Dickinson and a check for $300.00 from Elaine Okiyama in memory of Ji.m Thomson. There was also a check from Lottie Calhoun in the amount of$125.00. WRITTEN/ORAL COMMUNICATIOleT Mayor Law requested that new officers and new board members come forward to be installed. Pat Baylor,President,Bill Clapp,Vice President,Kay Stone,Secretary, and Treasurer, Sandra Polley. Next board members were installed they were Mary Brown, Ruby Griffin, Dorothy Cook, and Kay Stone. Judith Young was not present today to be installed. Mayor Law gave the followirig update on projects and issues affecti.ng the City of . �Renton. New council members have been i.nstalled and Mayor Law expressed opti.mism that it is going to be a productive council. There is going to be two new libraries in the Renton area. The machinists-have approved their contract. This is good news for the Aerospace program in Renton. The City of Renton will be the laridlord for a new aerospace training center in Renton. A redevelopment of downtown Renton to aitract more residential interest is proposed. �' ��I �': �Continued page 2 A Youth Center at Tiffany Park just openecl 2 days a week after school.. Also, -��= `Kennydale Neighborhood Park Building is planning new programs. The 2016 budget needs is being reviewed. Again tlus year the Christmas Clam Lights at Coulon Park met with great success. Ivar's Restaurant provides the money for this display of lights. . The Mayor opened the rema.i.nder of the meeting to board members for questions and auswers. A variety of quesiions were answered. ` OLD S�TS�SS � Shawn requested at the conclusion of the meeting that a check in the amount of$450.00 for the Bingo program be approved. Mij Charbonneau moved that this check be approved, Milt Tiede seconded the motion and it was voted on and approved.
