HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdden 1AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CAG-21-105 TO AGREEMENT FOR RENTON I-405 PARK AND RIDE ALTERNATIVE EVALUATION APPRAISAL THIS AMENDMENT, dated June 9, 2021, is by and between the City of Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, and Northwest Meridian Appraisal LLC, dba Appraisal Group of the Northwest (“Consultant”), a Washington Limited Liability Company. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties. Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-21-105, dated April 20, 2021, to provide necessary services for the Renton I-405 Park and Ride Alternative evaluation appraisal (referred to herein as the “Agreement”); Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work, change the time for performance, and change the compensation in order to revise the property locations for the appraisal at the City’s request. NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-21-105 is amended as follows: 1.Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to modify the Work as specified in Exhibit A-1, which is attached and incorporated herein. 2.Time of Performance: Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended pursuant to the schedule(s) set forth in Exhibit A-1. All Work shall be performed by no later than July 31, 2021. 3.Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $3,500 from $4,000 to $7,500, plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit A-1, which is attached and incorporated herein. 4.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if fully set forth herein. NE, Suite 105 Bellevue, WA 98007-3963 (425) 453-9292 (800) 453-4408 FAX: (425) 455-9740 agnw@appraisalgroupnw.com EXHIBIT A This contract is binding upon Northwest Meridian Appraisal LLC, a Washington limited liability company dba Appraisal Group of the Northwest, 1409 140th Place NE, Suite 105, Bellevue, Washington, 98007-3963, hereinafter referred to as the Appraiser, and the City of Renton, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, Washington 98057, hereinafter referred to as the Client. 1. The Appraiser agrees to provide two appraisal reports which will estimate the values of the properties located at 1703 NE 43rd Street (Parcel 334570-0060) and 4210 Jones Avenue NE (Parcels 334570-0081, 334570-0082 and 334570-0083), Renton, WA 98056. The appraisals are intended to comply with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) as adopted by the Appraisal Foundation. 2. The Appraiser agrees to deliver the reports to the Client in the form of an electronic copy not later four weeks after a contract is fully executed by both parties. Hard copies of the appraisals are available upon request. 3. The fee for appraisal services is $3,750 per appraisal, for a total of $7,500. The fees reflect the estimated time it will take to prepare the reports, and are not connected with the values to be estimated. The fees will be due upon completion and delivery of the reports. 4. If the Appraiser is required to give testimony or to attend any public or private hearing in court with reference to the appraisals, a Supplemental Employment agreement will be negotiated. Hourly fees for testimony which includes all preparation time, travel time and court/testimony time will be billed at a rate of $150 per hour.
