4441CITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTONRESOLUTIONNO.4441ARESOLUTIONOFTHECITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTON,AMENDINGTHE2021/2022CITYOFRENTONFEESCHEDULE.WHEREAS,onNovember23,2009,theCounciladoptedOrdinanceNo.5509,whichremovedmanyfeesfromtheRentonMunicipalCodeandconsolidatedthemintothe2010CityofRentonFeeSchedulebrochure,whichhasbeensubsequentlyamended;andWHEREAS,onNovember9,2020,theCityCouncilpassedResolutionNo.4422,adoptinganamendedfeeschedulefor2021and2022;andWHEREAS,onMay3,2021,theCityCouncilpassedResolutionNo.4433,adoptinganamendedfeescheduleinordertomakeperiodicupdatesandcorrectionstoandreorganizethefeescheduleandtoincorporatefeeamendmentsincludedintheCity’s2021CarryForwardand1stQuarterbudgetamendment;clarifythetimingofpaymentofpublicationfeesinSectionIofthefeeschedule;remove“BoatLaunchRates:Additionalsticker(launchingpermit)”fromSectionlV.2ofthefeeschedule;setforthlandusereviewfeesforrevisionsandmodificationstoconditionalusepermitsandplatsinSectionXll.2ofthefeeschedule;updateSectionXII.3ofthefeescheduleto(1)clarifythatpursuanttoRMC9-10-9,publicagenciesaresubjecttofranchisepermitfeesand(2)addfeeexceptionsforcertainworkbyindividualhomeowners,certainmovingactivities,andcertainworkintheCD(CenterDowntown)zone;andWHEREAS,itisnecessarytoapproveanamendedfeescheduletomakeperiodicupdatesaspartoftheCity’s20212Quarterbudgetamendment;1 RESOLUTIONNO.4441WHEREAS,itisfurthernecessarytoapproveanamendedfeescheduleupdatingSectionXIl.1ofthefeescheduletochangedemolitionpermitfeesfromaflatratefeetoafeecalculatedbasedonbuildingvaluation;andWHEREAS,itisfurthernecessarytoapproveanamendedfeeschedulesettingforthpublicworksfeesforpublicreimbursementofelectricalserviceandsettingforthpublicworksfeesforconduitleaseratesinSectionXII.3ofthefeeschedule;andWHEREAS,itisfurthernecessarytoapproveanamendedfeescheduletoaddthemultifamilytaxexemptionapplicationfeepursuanttoRMC4-1-220andaddtheassessedcurrentmarketvalueforreplacementtreefeeinlieuinSectionXll.6ofthefeeschedule;NOW,THEREFORE,THECITYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTON,DORESOLVEASFOLLOWS:SECTIONI.Thefeescheduleisamendedandreplacedwiththe2021-2022CityofRentonFeeSchedulebrochure,whichisattachedheretoandadoptedbythisreference(“FeeSchedule”).AnupdatedcopyoftheFeeScheduleshallatalltimesbefiledwiththeCityClerkasrequiredbyOrdinanceNo.5509.SECTIONII.TheamendedFeeScheduleadoptedbySectionIofthisresolutionshallbeeffectiveuponpassageandapprovalofthisresolution,andthereafteractastheCityofRenton’sFeeScheduleforallfeesorchargesreferencedtherein.TheFeeScheduleshallremainineffectuntilamendedorotherwisereplacedbytheCityCouncil.IntheeventtheFeeScheduleisnotamendedpriortotheyear2023,thefeesspecifiedfortheyear2022shallcontinuetoapplyintoandbeyond2023untilamendedbytheCityCouncil.2
