SUBJECT: CARR ROAD ANNEXATION ADDRESS CORRECTION
Dear Ms. Edlund:
When addressing the recent Carr Road Annexation we
mistakenly gave you an address within the City of Renton.
Our intention was to address the storage area across the
street from your house. Your house address will remain
10130 S.E. Carr Road.
We are sending this correction letter to all those who
received the original change. We apologize for any
inconvenience this change has caused you.

The Post Office, Pacific Northwest Bell and other utilities
have been advised of your address change. However, it is
advisable for you to notify your phone company business
office since this is the only way the address will be
corrected in the E-911 System. Also, you should notify all
other necessary parties.

SUBJECT: STREET NAMES
Since the comprehensive street name changes and the co-
ordinated grid ordinance passed in 1969, our Department has
been assigning new street names per the ordinance and per a
Council approved method. That council approved method for
new names is assigning Avenue names in alphabetical order
for names of cities within the State. Street names are
numerical in ascending order.
Our annexation of Carr Road creates a unique problem. If
this street is given a numerical designation, confusion and
problems will result since it crosses many grid lines. In
order to avoid future problems, we are asking Council
authorization to name this street South Carr Road. By doing
so, it can cross any grid lines without significant problems
and a historical name is retained, lessening any confusion
created by the change.
