NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Proposed use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Coronavirus (CV) Round 2 Funds
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the ongoing pandemic, a virtual/telephonic Public
Hearing will be held by the Renton City Council on September 20, 2021 at 7 p.m. by
means of a Zoom video-conference web application. For those wishing to attend by
Zoom, please (1) click this link:

6501 by 10 a.m. on the day of the meeting to request an invite with a link to the
meeting. The meeting can also be viewed on Renton’s Channel 21, or streaming live at
rentonwa.gov/streaming.
The Renton City Council will consider the following: Proposed use of CDBG CV Round 2
funds.
The City will receive $182,859 in CDBG CV funds through King County. These funds must
be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the Coronavirus.
As rental assistance continues to be an urgent need, the City is proposing to fund two
agencies to provide that relief: Renton Housing Authority will receive $91,940 and
Centro Rendu will receive $91,429. Both agencies serve diverse populations who have
been disproportionately impacted.

calling 425-430-6575 by 10 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021 so that the meeting
information can be provided to you prior to the start of the meeting. Alternatively,
written comments on this topic can be submitted to cityclerk@rentonwa.gov by 5:00
p.m. on September 20, 2021.
