THE CONTRACT IS MODIFIED AS FOLLOWS:
Description of Change:
Change to Contract Plans:
As required by Field Work Directives No 17, 20, 21, 23 and 24, the Contractor is directed perform
additional work to construct improvements at the Shattuck and Logan Intersections.
As required by Field Work Directive No 2, the Contractor is directed to delete the Pedestrian Rail Retrofit
from the bridge. The deletion of this work caused a delays in renegotiating the subcontract for the
bridge railing Type S BP-30 and subsequent delay in the purchase order for the railing.
The contract time is extended by 28 working days. This change order addresses the additional time
impact due to the changed work. Future change orders will address changes in costs due to the changed
work.
Reason for Change:
Contract Plans:
Above changes in the scope of the work affected work activities on the critical path schedule.
Contractor negotiations (on above scope changes) with DBE subcontractor adversely affected the Bridge
Railing activity, critical path of the baseline schedule.
Subcontractor availability to perform extra work listed above eliminated ACI’s ability to perform multiple
activities concurrently, as estimated in the baseline schedule.

Estimated Change Order Cost:
This Change Order does not include an equitable adjustment per Section 1-09.4 of the
2020 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications.

Extension of Time:
The Contractor agrees that the time for Completion is extended an additional 28
Working Days for the changed work.
Sections 1-04.4 and 1-04.5 of the 2020 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications shall govern
this Change Order. The Work of the referenced Contract is modified to include the changes
detailed herein.
