HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdden 1�� � Seattle IIN Public Utilities August 6, 2021 Mayor Armondo Pavone City of Renton 1055 South Grady Way Renton, WA 98057 Dear Mayor Pavone, CAG-11-093, Adden #1-21 Seattle Public Utilities appreciates the opportunity and good will to discuss our proposal to amend the City of Seattle Partial Requirements Contract for the Supply of Water to City of Renton. As you know, section II.A.4 provides for periodic review and right to change certain terms and conditions. Seattle began the Consensual Process with a written proposal to City of Renton in December 2020. SPU and City of Renton have been meeting to consider the proposal and discuss mutual interests and goals. SPU and City of Renton recognize the value of additional time to consider the proposal and other options to improve the contract and ensure all proposed changes are fully vetted. This letter memorializes our mutual agreement to extend the time period set forth in the contract. Agreement Section II.A.4 of the 2011 City of Seattle Partial Requirements Contract for the Supply of Water to City of Renton (Contract) between SPU and City of Renton provides for periodic review and right to change certain terms and conditions by January 1, 2022. City of Renton and SPU hereby agree to amend Section II.A.4 of the Contract to extend the date by 12 months: • The one-year period for parties to agree on a proposal using the Consensual Process defined in Section II.A.4 of the Contract is changed to a two-year period. • The dates set forth in Section II.A.4 of the Contract are changed from January 1, 2022 to January 1. 2023.
