Register for Rental Registration Program Online

The City of Renton will be utilizing permitting.rentonwa.gov for Rental Registration Program applications and annual
registration.
Log in or Register:
Navigate to the online permit webpage:
https://permitting.rentonwa.gov
In the upper left-hand corner of the screen, use the
drop-down arrow to Log In or Register.
Click Log In or Register.
From the Home Screen:
Select Apply on the top Menu bar.
On the Apply drop-down, select Rental Property
Registration under Licenses
Step 1: Location
Enter the rental property location by clicking the “+”
under Site Address and searching your rental property
address.
Step 2: Type
No additional information is needed on this page.
Step 3: Contacts
Enter the contact information for the property owner.
You can search to see if an existing contact is available,
or you can enter the contact details manually. Enter
additional contact types, if desired. If you are both the
applicant and the owner, add your information in both
roles.
Step 4: More Info
Enter information relevant to your rental property
and/or rental property business. Number of units is
required.
Step 5: Attachments
A completed Declaration of Compliance Checklist must
be attached to the application. Choose “Checklist” as
the file type and attach a .PDF, .JPG, or .DWG file type
by clicking the “+” under Add Attachment. Upload your
completed checklist.
Step 6: Signature
Enter your name and draw or type your signature.

Step 7: Review and Submit
Your application information will appear on the review and submit page. Go back if any information needs to be
corrected or click Submit if complete.
Your license is viewable by clicking on the My Dashboard top menu bar and scrolling to “My Licenses.”
To Renew A License
Under My Dashboard, scroll to “My Licenses” and click “Renew.”
Update information as needed and upload a new Declaration of Compliance Checklist. To upload, choose “Checklist” as
the file type and attach your completed document.
