PRIVATE LIFT STATION DESIGN
THIS AMENDMENT, datedfor reference purposes only as December 14, 2021, is by and between
RH2 Engineering, Inc
a Washington Corporation. The City and the Consultant are referred to
collectively in this Amendment fully executed by the Parties, this
Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-19-143, dated
April 16, 2019, to provide necessary design services for replacement of the Renton airport private
lift station
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work, change the
time for performance, and change the compensation in order to provide additional services
during construction as outlined in the scope of work.
NOW THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed upon that CAG-19-143 is amended as follows:
1. Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit
A-3, which is attached and incorporated herein.
2.Time of Performance:Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended pursuant to the
schedule(s) set forth in Exhibit B-3. All work shall be performed by no later than June 30,
2022.
3. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $10,000 from $106,600 to $116,000,
plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid
based upon work performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit C-3
which is attached and incorporated herein.
4.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.

Scope of Work

Renton Airport Private Lift Station Replacement
Amendment No. 3 to CAG-19-143
Additional Services
December 2021
Background
The City of Renton (City) retained RH2 Engineering, Inc., (RH2) to design a replacement lift station
for the Renton Municipal Airport’s (Airport) existing facility. Due to contractor and COVID-19
related delays, the construction duration has extended from an anticipated 2 months to
approximately 8 months.
The following Scope of Work includes additional services for the Renton Airport Private Lift Station
Replacement project and will extend the original contract duration.
Task 4 – Services During Construction [Amended Task]
Objective: Provide continued construction contract administration services during construction in
support of the City.
Approach:
Assist the City with testing and startup of the new lift station.
Perform one (1) site visit to develop a final construction punch list for the project.
Revise plans with as-built information received from the contractor and the City. Provide one
(1) hard copy (11 inches by 17 inches), one (1) hard copy of full-size Mylars (black and white),
and electronic copies in PDF and AutoCAD format to the City.
Assumptions:
•RH2 will perform the services described up to the amounts included in the attached Fee
Estimate. If additional effort is needed, that extra work will be mutually determined by the
City and RH2.
•RH2 is not responsible for site safety, nor for determining means and methods or directing
the contractor in their work.
Provided by City:
•Project lead for construction inspection and administration.
RH2 Deliverables:
•Attendance at testing and startup.

•Attendance at final observation of the site and preparation of punch list in electronic PDF.
•One (1) set of full-size record drawings printed on Mylar.
•One (1) set of half-size record drawings.
•Record drawings in PDF and AutoCAD 2021 DWG format.
Fee for Services
RH2 estimates this additional work to be $10,000 as shown in Exhibit C2-3.
Schedule
All work shall be performed no later than June 30, 2022, as shown in Exhibit B-3.
