Please submit a written appeal explaining what part of the decision you are appealing. Once I have that, my staff will work with Finance to create an invoice for the $500 appeal fee that can be paid online. Once the fee is paid, we will schedule an appeal hearing with the Hearing Examiner. The appeal letter can be submitted at this email address cityclerk@rentonwa.gov. Thank you, Jason A. I do not believe there is an appeal for that you would need to fill out, however you are welcome to reach out directly to the City Clerk if you have questions. Also please point me to the fee amount for the appeal. Regardless of what the Leighton’s Architect stated, I question how anyone can realistically build or even maintain a two story structure and excavate for those building foundations with a two foot setback and not encroach or otherwise impact an adjacent property owner. This construction effort would be difficult with a five foot setback and is impossible with a 2 foot one. This is a 30 foot wide sloped federalized railbanked corridor shared by King County Parks, King County Wastewater, Sound Transit, and Puget Sound Energy. It is not a public right of way similar to the sidewalk mentioned in the reconsideration letter linked to your email below. Thanks. Frank Frank D.
