City of Renton Guardrail replacement.
Scope of Work “Attachment A”
Description of Work: The work involved under the terms of this contract document shall be full
and complete of providing labor, materials, and equipment necessary to replace a
compromised guardrail at locations #1, #2, #3, #4.and #5. All costs associated with this work
will be paid by Repairs and Maintenance Property Loss. in accordance with Current WSDOT
Standard Specifications. The work will include, but not be limited to:
Site #1. Remove and replace approximately 70’ of damaged guardrail, 17 posts and end
terminal.
Site #2. Remove and replace approximately 26’ of damaged guardrail, 3 posts and end
terminals.
Site #3. Remove and replace approximately 26’ of damaged guardrail, 3 posts and end
terminals.
Site #4. Remove and replace approximately 14’ of damaged guardrail.
Site #5. Remove and replace approximately 26’ of damaged guardrail, 3 posts.
Project Location: 5 locations: 2615 Nile Ave N.E., 1503 Lake Ave S., S. 6th St., N.E. 31st St., 2200
N.E. 4th St. (bids shall be broke out by location and include any associated sales tax)
General information:
This scope of work is based on the information provided by City of Renton
Representative Jayson Grant.
The performance of all work will be in accordance with OSHA and WISHA safety
requirements.
Daily job site cleanup is required before the work crew leaves the site each day and final
cleanup is required prior to final inspection and acceptance by the Transportation
Maintenance Division.
Project requires State of Washington prevailing wages to be paid including intents to
pay and affidavits of wages paid.
Work to be inspected by the City of Renton Transportation Department prior to
Acceptance.
Contractor to provide traffic control.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Technical Scope of Work:
All work performance shall be completed in accordance with all Local, city, and state authority
having jurisdiction requirements and regulations. Provide all labor, materials, and equipment to

complete the following work package to the extent necessary to complete the intended scope
of work.
Mobilize and demobilize according to site access requirements and restrictions .
All traffic control per Washington State Zone Traffic control Plan s.
Contractor shall comply with King County Ordinance 18166 codified in King County Code
Chapter 10.30 Construction and Demolition Waste.
1. General construction
Provide site protection as necessary to prevent damage during construction.
Demo and remove the damaged guardrail, posts, bolts, and loose material.
Place, level and install new guardrail, posts and bolts.
Install contractor provided light fixtures and all associated equipment.
Demobilize and clean up.
2. Traffic control
Provide traffic control plan per WSDOT for approval by City of Renton
Transportation Department.
Provide traffic control equipment, signs, and personnel for removal/replacement
of guardrail work activity.
3. Permits
All permits to be obtained by contractor.
4. Submittals
