Project approach:
•Prepare planters with soil and plants and grow-on at our location in Renton, 4-6 weeks prior to installation to allow time to fill in for May 15th install.
•Two hanging baskets will be placed on 60 light poles according to RFP specifications.
•Installation estimated to take 1-2 days.
Maintenance approach:
•Watering will take place two times a week to start by filling the self-watering reservoir and watering the top of the planter. As the plants mature, a consistent
watering and maintenance schedule of Monday/Wednesday/Fridays is planned. This eliminates the need for weekend visits.
•Fertilization will take place every 2-3 weeks, or as needed, using a water-soluble balanced fertilizer.
Procurement:
•Lead time for containers is 3-4 weeks.
•Baskets should be planted to grow-on by early April at the latest.
The black self-watering hanging baskets are designed to be the easiest and most effective hanging basket for cities, municipalities, plazas, and main streets. They are proudly
made in the USA and come with a Lifetime Warranty. The self-watering system will allow for larger and more beautiful plants whil e reducing labor and water waste by 50%!
They will add life and color to enhance the City of Renton downtown business district. The 16” size is estimated to be 40 -45 lbs. with full reservoir and wet soil.
