Chair, Jim Phelan called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Review of the October minutes for the 11/23/10 meeting.

FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT:
1) Unfinished Business: N/A
2) New Business: Civil Service Secretary provided information regarding two (2) firefighters one who was
deceased and one who did not pass probation.

A.) The Cadet/Entry Level Police Officer eligibility list, dated December 2, 2010 was approved. The
Cadet/Entry Level Police Officer Examination Report was reviewed.

OTHER BUSINESS/COMMENTS:
A.) The Civil Service Commission approved and appointed Brian Sandler as the new Civil Service
Secretary/Chief Examiner effective January 1, 2011.

B.) The Civil Service Commission re elected Jim Phelan as the Civil Service Chair for 2011.

C.) The Civil Service Commission reelected Bill Larson as the Vice Chair for 2011

D.) The Civil Service Commission approved the meeting dates for 2011 and made one adjustment for
December 2011. Instead of the 4th Tuesday of the month, December 2011 meeting will be on the
3rd Tuesday, December 20, 2011.
