Letter of Understanding Geologic Risk
Southport West, LLC is cognizant of the geologic risk the site entails. The entire site is included under a geologic
hazard critical area due to the liquefaction susceptibility and is outside of the aquifer protection zones per City of
Renton Surface Water Design Manual (map below for reference).
The Team is proceeding on design assuming Site Class E per the submitted Geotech report from Hart Crowser. This
involves shear wall thickness and pile count increase vs Ground improvements via Geopiers.
As Owner of the property, we accept the risk of developing this site and will, in writing, advise of the risk to a
potential buyer in the future for the same.
