NOTE TO ALL PLANHOLDERS:
This Addendum No. 1, containing the following revisions, additions, deletions, and/or clarifications, is
hereby made a part of the Plans and Contract Provisions (Contract Documents) for the above-named
project. Bidders shall take this Addendum into consideration when preparing and submitting their bids.
Bidders shall acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this Addendum No. 1 in the space provided on the
Proposal Signature Page or by signing in the space provided below and submitting the signed addendum
with the bid package. Failure to provide this written acknowledge may result in disqualification of the Bidder’s
submittal.
CALL FOR BIDS
1. Bid Due Date and Bid Opening Date:
• Sealed bids will be received until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the lobby Renton
City Hall, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057. All supplemental documents, that are
allowed to be submitted after this date and time, shall be received at the lobby of Renton City
Hall. Sealed bids will be opened and publicly read via Zoom videoconferencing web
application at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2022. Any bids received after the published
bid submittal time cannot be considered and will not be accepted.
INFORMATION AND CHECKLIST FOR BIDDERS
2. Item 10(e) of the Information and Checklist for Bidders is revised as follows:
e. Exhibit C, Contractor Requirements – An Exhibit C-1, executed by the prime Contractor, as
included within these documents, and as required by Appendix H, shall be submitted. No
substitutions will be accepted. Exhibits C-1, fully executed by the prime Contractor and all
Subcontractors, are required prior to entrance upon railroad right of way. Appendix H is

included as a draft version during this bidding period. The Contracting Agency will replace
Appendix H, and the included Exhibit C-1, with the final and fully executed version after the
bid opening. The final version of Appendix H will include signatures between the
Contracting Agency and BNSF but will have no substantive changes, including no substantive
changes to Exhibit C-1.
SPECIAL PROVISIONS
3. Revise the Special Provision Section 9-26.6(1) Light and Signal Standards (Page 181) as follows:
Section numbering in 9-29.6(1) is modified.
The second paragraph of Section 9.29.6(1)E is revised as follows:
Arterial street decorative roadway luminaire poles and subassemblies for all other areas shall be
per City of Renton Standard Plans 117.1 and 117.3. These poles shall not include the decorative
base cover shown in City of Renton Standard Plan 117.1.
APPENDIX B – STANDARD PLANS (CITY OF RENTON AND WSDOT)
4. City of Renton Public Works Department Standard Plan 300.8 (Steel Pipe Casing) is added to
Appendix B.
ALL OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS REMAIN IN EFFECT.
